How is the hair transplantation procedure done?

There are two kinds of hair follicle. The permanent healthy ones usually in the back of the head and the ones genetically programmed to fall in the future usually in the front and middle of the head. The procedure name is mini and single hair graft technique. We take some of the hair follicle from the back of the scalp skin ellipse including the healthy hair follicles with direct closure of the donor site preparation and cutting of the hair follicles as a single graft. The total number of the grafts will depend on the case the maximum number of hair follicle grafts in one session is about 1200 – 1400 grafts, which will grow and give 2,000 – 3,000 hair. These procedures are done in 3 – 4 hours under local anesthesia with some sedation if needed without pain and you will be awake, all the time hearing music and enjoy talking with your doctor .

Is the hair growing after the operation immediately?

All the hair will start to appear in 3-6 months but to grow it will take another 9 months
